Somerset Council Parish of Street Temporary Closure of Somerton Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Somerton Road - from the junction with Stallgrove Lane, northwards for a total distance of 573 metres. This Order will enable Brandwells Construction to carry out access into development works on behalf of Curo Homes.

The Order becomes effective on 2nd July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 6th July 2026 and last until 11th September 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 68 days.
