ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
SECTION 14(1) 
U4045 WELDON TO LONGRFRAMLINGTON,
LONGFRAMLINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVENthat Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U4045 Weldon to Longframlington Longframlington outside the front of Springfield heading in a north easterly direction for a length of 86 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 13th July 2026 until the 31st July 2026 .

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 13th July 2026 until the 17th July 2026 and that it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st July 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being U4045, A697 and viceversa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Freedom Group on behalf of Northern Powergrid to carry out electrical works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –

U5002 ROAD TO NEAR HILLOCK ROCHESTER
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U5002 Road to near Hillock 35 metres northwards from its point with the front of number 14 Bremenium Way heading further northwards for a distance of 45 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 8th July 2026 until the 31st July 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 8th July 2026 until the 21st July 2026 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st July 2026.

There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

U6014 CLIFTON LANE CLIFTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6014 Clifton Lane, Clifton from its point 20 metres west of its junction with Clifton Crossing, Stannington in a westerly direction for a length of 20 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 8th July 2026 until the 9th July 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 8th July 2026 until the 9th July 2026 between the hours of 23:30 and 06:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 9th July 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being U6014, A192, C363, U9076, A1, B1337, and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

C47 HEPBURN JUNCTION TO
HAUGHTERSLAW WOODLAND OLD BEWICK
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C47 Hepburn Junction to Haughterslaw Woodland Old Bewick from its junction with C43 Old Bewick to Chillingham heading in a north easterly direction for a distanceof5500metresintheCountyofNorthumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 6th July 2026 until the 13th July 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 6th July 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 13th July 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C43, B6348, A1, C47 and vice-versa.

Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

MORPETH 10K 2026 SECTION 16A
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under section 16Aof the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, has on the made the Northumberland County Council Morpeth 10K 2026 Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (“the TTRO”).

The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of Morpeth 10K 2026 (“the Event”) by prohibiting traffic on Newgate Street from its junction with Manchester Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 215 metres, Bridge Street from its junction with Oldgate in an easterly direction for a distance of 275 metres, Newmarket from its junction with Bridge Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 100 metres, Oldgate from its junction with Bridge Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 75 metres (“Road One”), Newgate Street from its junction with Manchester Street in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 380 metres, Manchester Street from its junction with Newgate Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 25 metres, Copper Chare from its junction with Newgate Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 30 metres, Pottery Bank from its point with Newgate Street in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 600 metres, the U6010 Fulbeck and the U6010 West Shield Hill for their entire length (“Road Two) and the C130 Hebron junction to Butterwell junction from the A1 to its junction with the U6010 for a distance of 2150 metres
(“Road Three”) (“Road One, Road Two and Road Three shall together be known as the Road”) should be prohibited for the purposes of facilitating the holding of Morpeth 10K 2026 (“the Event”) and a restriction on the U6106 Manchester Street south side from number 18A Manchester Street to number 8 Manchester Street (“Road Four”), a suspension of a restriction on Oldgate north side from number 14 Oldgate heading west for a length of 40 metres
(“Residents Parking Bays”)and a suspension of a restriction on Bridge Street from its point opposite 10 Bridge Street in a westerly direction for a length of 45 metres (“Road Five”).

The TTRO shall come into force at the following times, subject to the provisions of section 16B of the Act:

•    In respect of Road One, Road Four, Road Five and the Residents Parking Bays, 05:00 hours on 28 June 2026 and will remain in force until 11:30 hours on 28 June 2026; and

•    In respect of Road Two, 08:30 hours on 28 June 2026 and will remain in force until 11:30 hours on 28 June 2026; and

•    In respect of Road Three, 09:00 hours on 28 June 2026 and will remain in force until 10:00 hours on 28 June 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being For Kirkhill via Curley Kews, Church Walk, Spelvit Lane, the B1337 and vice-versa, for Morpeth town centre from the A1 via the A197, the B1337 and vice-versa, for Hebron from the A1 via the C129, the U6009, and vice-versa and for Hebron from the east via the B1337, the C129, the U6009, and viceversa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary.

Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:

a.  Any activities taking place on the Road related to theorganisation and holding of the Event;

b.  Anything done with the permission of, or at thedirection of, a police officer or a Duly Authorised Officer of the Council.

c.  Any vehicle being used by, or for the purposes of, theemergency services;

d.  Any vehicle being used by or for the purposes of astatutory undertaker (e.g. the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Road); or

e.  Pedestrian access to any premises adjoining the Road.
