Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Saracen Place Penryn between the junction of Higher Market Street and grid reference SW78436 34399. Notice is further given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily suspend the existing one-way order

The County of Cornwall (Penryn) (Saracen Way) (One-Way) Order 2022 Saracen Way (U6063) - from its junction with Saracen Place to its north-western junction with Saracen Crescent, excluding all spurs for its entire length. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to carry out zebra crossing and kerb build out works.

The Order will come into operation on 13th July 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 14th August 2026. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1700 on a daily basis, weekdays only. Nothing in Paragraph 1 of this Order will apply to emergency services, cyclists, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

Pedestrian access to residents and businesses will be maintained.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 15th June 2026 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in Penryn. This prohibition is necessary for patching works and it is expected that the closure will be from 3rd July 2026 for one day.

The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0800 and 1600, weekdays only.

Roads affected - Enys Hill, St Gluvias for its entire length and Enys Hill, Penryn between grid reference SW78447 36829 and SW78463 36985.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Coverack.

This prohibition is necessary for electric connection works and it is expected that the closure will be from 13th July 2026 to 17th July 2026. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1800, weekdays only.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in Falmouth.

This prohibition is necessary for HV cable works and it is expected that the closure will be from 14th July 2026 to 20th August 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

This prohibition is necessary for cabling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 15th July 2026 to 17th July 2026. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1530, weekdays only.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in Redruth.

This prohibition is necessary for defective reinstatement works and it is expected that the closure will be from 13th July 2026 to 15th July 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 24th June 2026 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Station Road, Penryn between grid reference SW77989 34606 and the junction of Helston Road. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the highway to carry out gas repair works.

The Order will come into operation on 25th June 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 26th June 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 4th June 2026 for a period of 21 days.

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 27th April 2026 continuing to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Road From Junction At Grenna Lane To North Grange Industrial Estate, Carnon Downs between the junctions of Grenna Lane and Old Carnon Hill. The Order which commenced on the 13th June 2026 and is currently in force for up to eighteen months will now continue until the 10th July 2026. 

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to carry out drainage works.

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

The Order which commenced on the 11th May 2026 and is currently in force for up to eighteen months will now continue until the 10th July 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to carry out drainage works.

Nothing in this Order will apply to emergency services, bus traffic, school buses, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.
