ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(B6343 & C149 MITFORD 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2026 (TROM_343)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make the above-named Order under Sections 81 to 84 and Part III and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order, if made, will be to introduce a 30 miles per hour speed restriction on the following lengths of highways in the County of Northumberland:-

Exemptions are included in the Order for police, fire and rescue, ambulance and special forces purposes.

A copy of the draft Order, together with a plan and any other relevant documents, notices or Orders as appropriate as well as a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Order are available to view or download on the NCC Website https://www.northumberland.gov.uk/roads-and-streets/traffic-management-orders-proposals-and-consultations/traffic-regulation-orders or can be requested by email to HighwaysProgramme@northumberland.gov.uk, or may be inspected by appointment during normal office hours at County Hall, Morpeth, NE61 2EF - please contact Highways Improvements, Technical Services, County Hall, Morpeth, NE61 2EF by email at HighwaysProgramme@northumberland.gov.uk or by telephone on 0345 600 6400 during normal office hours quoting reference: TROM_343.
