What is happening?

KIBWORTH ROAD, WARWICK ROAD AND FLECKNEY ROAD
IN THE PARISHES OF KIBWORTH BEAUCHAMP AND
SADDINGTON, DISTRICT OF HARBOROUGH)
(IMPOSITION OF A 50MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made an Order under Sections 5, 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in compliance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be:To impose a 50MPH Speed Limit on Glen Road & Newton Lane, Newton Harcourt and Great Glen and on Kibworth Road/Warwick Road and Fleckney Road, Kibworth Beauchamp
There will be no practical effect on the speed limit on Kibworth Road, Warwick Road and Fleckney Road mentioned above. These are existing speed limits and, due to a change in the status of the road, a new Order is now required to validate the existing speed limits
The Order will come into force on the fifteenth day of June 2026 A copy of the Order and the relevant map is available for public inspection at County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA. The Order can also be viewed online at

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
