(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Steel Mills, Keynsham from a point outside the property known as The Steel Mill extending north east for approximately 100 metres. USRN: 47903262.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for Openreach to access the overhead network – cabling for new customer connection on the 23rd June 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 09:30 - 15:30hrs.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Dead-end road – Access will be maintained for residents.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of B3355 Silver Street, Midsomer Norton from a point outside the entrance to Eden Lodge extending south to a point outside the entrance to The Gables. USRN: 47917796.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to carry out Section 81 works to repair/replace cover/frame on the 22nd June 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 09:30 - 13:30hrs.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Birchwood Lane, Publow from a point outside Southleigh Farm. USRN: 47903937.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable National Grid to install a new electricity supply from the 22nd June 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.

Works are anticipated to be for FIVE DAYS.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:

• Hook Lane, Hinton Blewett from its junction with Lower Road extending south to a point outside Elm Grove Farm. USRN: 47902635.

• Lower Road, Hinton Blewett from its junction with Hook Lane extending north east to a point opposite Corner House on Lower Road. USRN: 47917404.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Contractors to undertake Section 50 works in the carriageway from the 22nd June 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.

Closures are anticipated to take place on the following dates:
Hook Lane: 22nd June – 5th July 2026
Lower Road: 6th July – 19th July 2026

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable National Grid to install a new overhead connection from the 7th July 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to carry out ducting works and recover pole from the 8th July 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for TWO DAYS.
