(HESSLE LANE, HESSLE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 189) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to install new water main to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hessle Lane, Hessle full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hessle Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Hessle Lane, Hessle Common Lane, Doncaster Road, Went Lane and vice versa. Access to properties will be maintained at all times using the diversion.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 22nd June 2026 to 17th July 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(CARR LANE, MIDDLESTOWN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 190) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for access to manholes for sewer checks to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Carr Lane, Middlestown outside numbers 18 to 20. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Carr Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion, no through road.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 23rd June 2026 between 08.00 hours to 16.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 191) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Homestead Drive, Wakefield full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Homestead Drive.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A dead end.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 24th June 2026 to 25th June 2026 between 07.30 hours to 15.30 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(SHERWOOD GROVE, LUPSET)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 192) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for footway and carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Sherwood Grove, Lupset from the junction with Townley Road to number 11. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Sherwood Grove.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion, no through road. Access for residents and emergency vehicles will be maintained.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 22nd June 2026 to 24th June 2026 between 07.30 hours to 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(FOOTPATH 9, STATION ROAD, NORMANTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER (NO 201) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield by reason of works to allow for construction of roads and drainage to new housing development to be carried out on or near Footpath 9, Station Road,
Normanton, and the likelihood of danger arising to the public, has made an Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of public footpath.
Alternative route for pedestrians: N/A.
The order comes into operation on 23rd June 2026 to 15th July 2026.
(PRIMROSE LANE, CALDER GROVE, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 202) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for remedial works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Primrose Lane, Calder Grove, Wakefield from the junction of Denby Dale Road to outside number 1b. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Primrose Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Hollin Lane, Denby Dale Road, Primrose Lane and vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 6th July 2026 to 8th July 2026, 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Residents access and access for emergency vehicles to be maintained.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(THORNHILL STREET, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 203) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for a new water supply to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Thornhill Street, Wakefield outside number 2. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Thornhill Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: George Street, Denby Dale Road, Ings Road, Grove Street, Grove Road and George Street, Kirkgate, Ings Road, Grove Street, Grove Road and vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 4th July 2026 to 5th July 2026, 08.00 hours to 06.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
