Notice is hereby given that Manchester City Council has made the CITY OF MANCHESTER (MAITLAND AVENUE, HALLOWS AVENUE, AND MERSEYBANK AVENUE, CHORLTON PARK) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING/LOADING/UNLOADING) ORDER 2026 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to introduce:
NO WAITING AT ANY TIME AND NO LOADING/UNLOADING AT ANY TIME:
Hallows Avenue, both sides from Maitland Avenue in a north-westerly direction for 12.5m. Maitland Avenue, (i) north-west side from 12.5m northeast of Hallows Avenue in a south-westerly direction to 12.5m southwest of Hallows Avenue, (ii) south-east side from 12m northeast of Merseybank Avenue in a south-westerly direction to 12m southwest of Merseybank Avenue. Merseybank Avenue, both sides from Maitland Avenue in a south-easterly direction for 12m.
The Order was made on 12th June 2026 and will come into effect on 22nd June 2026. A copy of the Order and the plan can be requested by emailing phlegal@manchester.gov. uk or inspected at the Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks from 12th June 2026 apply to the High Court for such purpose.
