What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984- SECTION (14.1)

The council of the London Borough of Enfield intend to make the Temporary Traffic Orders described below.

CECIL ROAD EN3

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times

“At any time” on 27 June 2026 for 1 day or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to prohibit traffic from making a right turn into Church Street EN2, at its junction with Cecil Road.

JUTE LANE EN3

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

“At any time” on 29 June 2026, on a phased basis for 3 months or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on this road between Selmar Engineering and Royal Star Café, on both sides of the road.

LINGFIELD GARDENS N9

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

“Between 08:00–18:00hrs on 29 June 2026 for 1 day or until works are completed.”

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road at its junction with Hadleigh Road.

CHURCH STREET N9

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

“Between 00:01–05:00hrs on 29 June 2026, for 3 nights or until works are completed.”

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road and suspend parking, at its junction with the A10 Great Cambridge Road, on both the east and west sides, for approximately 40m, on both sides of each carriageway.

GREEN LANES N21

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Highway Works

Operational Date and times:

“At any time on 30 June 2026 for 1 day or until works are completed.”

The general effect of the Order would be to close the cycle lane on this road, northbound, for approximately 70m between Fernleigh Road and Winchmore Hill Library.

Cyclists would be required to dismount and walk for the length of the cycle lane closure or join the main carriageway to continue cycling.

RAYNTON ROAD EN3

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times:

“At any time on the 30 June 2026 for 12 weeks or until works are completed.”

The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on this road, between Nos. 2b–44/46 on both sides of the road.

BISHOPS CLOSE, BANTON CLOSE EN1

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Housing Works

Operational Date and times:

“At any time” on 30 June 2026 for 6 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to;

Bishops Close

  • Close this road at its junction with Central Avenue; and

Banton Close

  • Close this road at its junction with Central Avenue.

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Dates and times:

“At any time on 1 July 2026 for 1 day or until works are completed.”

The general effect of the Order would be close this road, between Nos. 164–166.

CEDAR AVENUE EN3

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Dates and times:

“At any time” on 2 July 2026 or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road and suspend parking from a point between No.s 66/68–62/60, on both sides of the road.

QUEEN ANNES GROVE EN1

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Dates and times:

“At any time” on 6 July 2026 for 8 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on this road from a point between No.s 58/60–70/72 on both sides of the road.

DONKEY LANE EN1

Reason for 14(1) Order – Event – Turkish Cypriot Cultural Festival

Operational Dates and times:

“At any time” on 5 July 2026, for one day, until the event has ended.

The general effect of the Order would be to:

    • prohibit parking, waiting and loading on the east side, from the junction with Carterhatch Lane; and

  • introduce a one-way system, allowing entry only towards the Enfield Playing Fields.

ACCESS ROAD FROM HERTFORD ROAD TO 500–508 HERTFORD ROAD EN3

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Dates and times:

“At any time” on 6 July 2026, for 4 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on this road between No.s 500–508.

DELHI ROAD EN1

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Dates and times:

“At any time” on 6 July 2026 for 5 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road, at its junctions with Crawley Road and Bury Street West.

YORK ROAD N18

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Dates and times:

“At any time” on 6 July 2026 for 12 weeks or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road and suspend parking, from a point outside No.s 45–55, on both sides of the road.

MANDEVILLE ROAD N18

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Dates and times:

“At any time” on 6 July 2026 for 2 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road, at its junction with Hertford Road for approximately 10m.

DERBY ROAD EN3

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Dates and times:

“At any time” on 6 July 2026 for 6 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on this road, from a point opposite between No.s 2–8/10 and between No.s 10–14.
