What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) 

(B3232, NEWTON TRACEY) ORDER 2026 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC 

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 22/6/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 28/6/26. 

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads. Roads affected: B3232, NEWTON TRACEY, FROM OUTSIDE ORCHARD HOUSE TO OUTSIDE RECTORY. 

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - A39, A361, A377, B3227. This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: LAY DUCT & BUILD 1X CARRIAGEWAY BOX.

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 6/7/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 13/7/26. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads. 

Roads affected: OSBORNE RD, ILFRACOMBE. OUTSIDE THE SPINNEY. The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - TORRS PARK, BATH PLACE, WILDER RD, CHURCH ST, CHURCH RD. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: SUBSTATION WORKS FOR SWITCHGEAR REPLACEMENT.

Roads affected: SUNSET HEIGHTS, BARNSTAPLE, (FROM THE JUNCTION HILLS VIEW TO OUTSIDE 15). 

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - SUNSET HEIGHTS, HILLS VIEW, BEAR STREET, SOWDEN LANE, SUNSET HEIGHTS. (VICE VERSA).

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 22/6/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 10/7/26. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed or wait on the sections of Affected Roads. 

Roads affected: ROAD FROM NEWPORT ROAD TO THE PARK COMMUNITY SCHOOL, BARNSTAPLE. THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE ROUTE. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: REINFORCEMENT OF THE HV NETWORK.
