(BRYANS AVENUE AND BRYANS ROAD, NEWTONGRANGE)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 - TTRO/R 5.4.339

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate SGN mains replacement on Bryans Road,  the section of Bryans Road at the junction with Bryans Avenue will be closed.  The Order has effect on 29 June 2026 and shall remain in force up to and including 13 July 2026.  Pedestrian access will be maintained.  Alternative routes for general vehicular traffic will be clearly sign posted.

(A7, LASSWADE ROAD AND MELVILLE DYKES ROAD, DALKEITH)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 - TTRO/R 5.4.340

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works, there will be overnight closures on the below noted roads.  The Order has effect on 29 June 2026 and shall remain in force up to and including 12 July 2026.  Pedestrian access will be maintained.  Alternative routes for general vehicular traffic and HGV traffic will be clearly sign posted.

Note:

A7 – from Eskbank Road Roundabout to Melville Dykes Road Roundabout. Melville Dykes Road Roundabout will also be closed.

A7 – from Melville Dykes Road Roundabout towards Gilmerton Road Roundabout

Lasswade Road – from Melville Dykes Road Roundabout to the junction with Captains Gardens

(VARIOUS ROADS) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION ON WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING ETC)
(VARIATION NO 17) ORDER 2026  - TO/R5.3.188

Midlothian Council on 15 June 2026 made the above Order, which comes into force on 6 July 2026. The Order extends double yellow line waiting restrictions at Gorebridge Leisure Centre Car Park, and applies loading/unloading restrictions at the start and finish of the school day.

Anyone wishing to question the validity of this Order or of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of such Act or of any relevant regulation has not been complied with, may within six weeks from 15 June 2026 apply for this purpose to the Court of Session.

The Council proposes to make double yellow line restrictions which are already painted at Quarryfoot Green in Bonnyrigg enforceable.
