INSTALLATION OF ZEBRA CROSSINGS
RYE LANE/HIGHROAD WELL LANE &
SANDBEDS ROAD, PELLON

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Borough Council of Calderdale in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and having consulted with the Chief of Police, proposes to install a zebra crossing at the following locations:-

•   Rye Lane at its junction with Ashville Gardens,  the limits of the crossing will be 3.2 metres and will incorporate a controlled area indicated by zig-zag markings along the carriageway where parking and loading will be prohibited. The extents of the controlled zone will be approximately 13.75 metres to the north west and 4.75 metres and to the south east on both sides of Rye Lane.

•   Highroad Well Lane at its junction with Albert Road,  the limits of the crossing will be 3.2 metres and will incorporate a controlled area indicated by zig-zag markings along the carriageway where parking and loading will be prohibited. The extents of the controlled zone will be, on the north western side (north east bound) approximately 9.0 metres to the north 17.5 metres to the south and on the south western side (south west bound) approximately 22.0 metres to the north east and 11.0 metres to the south west.

•   Highroad Well Lane at its junction with Stretchgate  Lane, the limits of the crossing will be 3.2 metres and will incorporate a controlled area indicated by zig-zag markings along the carriageway where parking and loading will be prohibited. The extents of the controlled zone will be, on the north western side (north east bound) approximately 15.0 metres to the north and 4.7 metres to the south and on the south eastern side approximately 15.5 metres to the north east and 17.5 metres to the south west

•   Sandbeds Road 25 metres north of its junction with  Stretchgate Lane, the limits of the crossing will be 2.7 metres and will incorporate a controlled area indicated by zig-zag markings along the carriageway where parking and loading will be prohibited. The extents of the controlled zone will be, on the western side (north bound) approximately 11.5 metres to the north and 13.5 metres to the south and on the eastern side (south bound) approximately 17.5 metres to the north and 9.5 metres to the south.
