BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS (ENGLAND) REGULATIONS 2004 NOTICE OF BALLOT PROPOSED BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT FOR HULL CITY CENTRE

This is to give notice that a ballot is to be held on the proposal by Hull City Centre (BID) Ltd for a Business Improvement District (BID) in Hull City Centre.

THE DAY OF THE BALLOT WILL BE THURSDAY 30 JULY 2026.

The ballot will be conducted by post by the Ballot Holder, Matt Jukes, Returning Officer for Kingston upon Hull whose address is The Guildhall, Alfred Gelder Street, Kingston upon Hull, HU1 2AA.

Those eligible to vote may also deliver their completed ballot paper by hand to the main Reception of The Guildhall at the address above between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm (Monday to Friday) from Monday 6 July 2026 until Wednesday 29 July 2026 and between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm on Thursday 30 July 2026.

All votes must be received at the Guildhall, Alfred Gelder Street, Kingston upon Hull, HU1 2AA by 5pm on Thursday 30 July 2026

The Ballot Holder will, no later than 18 June 2026 send every person eligible to vote (or his appointed proxy) a statement explaining

i) The arrangements for the ballot

ii) That he may request a copy of the BID proposal from the BID proposer

iii) Details of the BID proposer.

Persons eligible to vote in the BID ballot will be the non-domestic ratepayers listed on Kingston Upon Hull City Council’s database for each hereditament (business premise) situated in the geographical area of the BID proposal as at the date of publication of this Notice.
