What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

The Green, Yaxley
Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic –
Order 2026-20556

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along
The Green, Yaxley as lies between Main Street & Middletons Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Middletons Rd; B1091; Dovecote Ln; Church St; Main St & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 20/7/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 19/1/28 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20/7 & 24/7/26.

Oundle Road A605, Alwalton
Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic –
Order 2026-20590

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along
Oundle Road A605, Alwalton as lies between Church Street & Royce Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via A605; A1; A605 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water collar repair & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 14/7/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 13/1/28 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 14/7 & 16/7/26. Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The Order shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
