Peel Green Interchange Roundabout - Temporary Road Closure for Carriageway Resurfacing and Road Marking Works

The Council of the City of Salford intends to make in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (PEEL GREEN INTERCHANGE ROUNDABOUT) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026.

The Order will introduce overnight road closures on A57 Liverpool Road / M60 J11 / Peel Green Interchange Roundabout, Eccles, M30 7BZ.

The Order is necessary for carriageway resurfacing and road marking works. The order is due to come into operation on Monday 13th July 2026 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Thursday 23rd July 2026. The road closures are scheduled to be in place between the hours 10pm - 5am, Monday - Friday.

The diversion routes are via:

• Phase 1 Diversions:
a) Salford Western Gateway - Trafford Way - B5214 Trafford Boulevard - B5211 Redclyffe Road - B5211 Barton Road - A57 Liverpool Road.

b) M60 J10 Southbound Off Slip - B5214 Trafford Boulevard - B5211 Redclyffe Road - B5211 Barton Road - A57 Liverpool Road.

• Phase 2 Diversions:
a) B5211 Barton Road - B5211 Redclyffe Road - B5214 Trafford Boulevard - M60 J10 On Slip.
b) B5211 Barton Road - B5211 Redclyffe Road - B5214 Trafford Boulevard - Trafford Way - Salford Western Gateway - A57 Liverpool Road.

c) M60 J13 Northbound Off Slip - A572 Worsley Brow - M60 J13 Southbound On Slip - M60 J11 Southbound Off Slip.
