ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
SECTION 14
(HIGH STREET, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 188) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to replace RTL posts to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: High Street, Castleford 20 metres either side of the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of High Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Lumley Street, A639, A6082, Methley Road, Wood Street, Albion Street & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 23rd June 2026 to 25th June 2026 between 23.30 hours and 05.30 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(EASTFIELD LANE, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 200) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for gas main replacement works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Eastfield Lane, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Eastfield Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Eastfield Lane, Maltkiln Lane, Healdfield Road, Ferrybridge Road, Bridge Street & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd July 2026 to 17th July 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Residents access to be maintained where possible.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
