Notice is hereby given that on the 11 June 2026 North Somerset Council made an exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to amend the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 to include Parking Charges for Clevedon. This order is made in part to that originally advertised with those elements listed in the schedule having been abandoned. The order will come into operation on the 6 July 2026 and copies of the deposited documents for this order may be inspected at: https://streets.apppyway.com/north-somerset
Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
Schedule - all the following on-street parking places shall not be affected by charges: Alexandra Road, Bellevue Road, Gardens Road, Hill Road.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Section 14(1)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
South Slip Roads between Ashton Road and A370, Long Ashton, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026
Date coming Into Force: 17 August 2026

will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by The Electricity Network Company Limited to installation of new high voltage circuit on behalf of EPIC to provide power to the new EPIC Campus. This order will become operative on the 17 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 52 nights in duration between 7pm and 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council for works as part of the MetroWest project for the installation of a new surface water drainage system. This order will become operative on the 20 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 71 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid for a pole replacement. This order will become operative on the 27 July 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 8 hours in duration, between 8am and 4pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order will become operative on the 27 July 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

The Portbury Hundreds, Portbury, North Somerset
Temporary 40mph and 30mph Speed Restriction 2026
Date coming Into Force: 6 July 2026

Will be to restrict, temporarily, any vehicles from exceeding 40mph and 30mph on the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services in an emergency situation.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council in association with the construction of and safe access to a works access bellmouth for the Metro West project. This order will become operative on the 6 July 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 18 months in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule - The Portbury Hundreds. Temporary 40mph speed limit from a point approximately 35m east of the junction with Station Road to a point approximately 115m west of that junction. Temporary 30mph speed limit from a point approximately 115m west of the junction with Station Road to a point approximately 815m west of that junction. Temporary 40mph speed limit from a point approximately 815m west of the junction with Station Road to a point approximately 965m west of that junction. These restrictions apply to traffic travelling in both directions.
