THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (WILLERSLEY LANE, MATLOCK & CROMFORD) (40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Derbyshire County Council proposes to make the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be, respects of roads, in the District of Derbyshire Dales is as follows:
40 MPH SPEED LIMIT
Willersley Lane, Matlock & Cromford
From a point 230 metres North of its junction with Mill Road in a Northerly direction for a distance of approximately 880 metres.
All other Speed Limit Orders are hereby revoked in so far as they relate to the lengths of road referred to in this Order.
A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council’s principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock, at Matlock Library, Steep Turnpike, Matlock, DE4 3DP, during opening hours and on request by emailing place.permanentTRO
until 6 weeks after the Order is made and during opening hours. All objections and other representations to the proposal must (a) be made in writing (b) state the grounds on which they are made (c) provide a name and address for contact purposes (d) be sent to the Executive Director – Place, Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock DE4 3AG (For Attention of Traffic Regulation Orders Team (quoting reference Z3459) or email place.permanentTRO
by Friday 10th July 2026.
