THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS FROM
29TH JUNE 2026 RELATING TO PRE-PATCHING WORKS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make
an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting
vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· Robert Wynd closed its entire length in both directions. It is anticipated that the
closure will operate for one day between 29th June 2026 and 7th July 2026,
between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00. Vehicular Diversion Route: Hall Lane,
Hurst Road, Childs Avenue and vice versa.
· Wilkinson Avenue closed in between its junctions with Jordan Place and Rose
Street. It is anticipated that the closure will operate for one day between
29th June 2026 and 7th July 2026, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00.
Vehicular Diversion Route: Brierley Lane, Daisy Street, Ash Street, Highfield
Road, Bank Street, and vice versa.
· Rose Street closed its entire length in both directions. It is anticipated that the
closure will operate for one day between 29th June 2026 and 7th July 2026,
between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00. Vehicular Diversion Route: Rose Street,
Brierley Lane, Daisy Street, Ash Street, Highfield Road, Bank Street, Wilkinson
Avenue and vice versa.
· Brierley Lane closed its entire length in both directions. It is anticipated that the
closure will operate for one day between 29th June 2026 and 7th July 2026,
between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00. Vehicular Diversion Route: Daisy Street,
Ash Street, Highfield Road, Bank Street, Wilkinson Avenue, Rose Street and
vice versa.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be undertaken between the dates specified above,
between the times detailed.
The Order is required to facilitate pre-patching prior to surface treatment works in
the carriageway.
