WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL (FP 10Y (PART) PARISH OF PONTESBURY) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026
The above-named order made on 18th June 2026 by the Shropshire Council (“the Council”) under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, will divert 175 metres of FP 10Y which runsthrough Pontesbury Sewage Works.
A copy of the Order, the Order map and an explanatory statement may be seen on the Council’s website at

or obtained free of charge via
outdoor.recreation@shropshire.gov.uk Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Rights of Way Team, Shropshire Council, Riggs Hall, Castle Gates, Shrewsbury, SY1 2AS or by email to
outdoor.recreation@shropshire.gov.uk not later than 16th July 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
