THE FALKIRK COUNCIL (PHASE 2, VARIOUS ROADS)
(TEMPORARY 20MPH & 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) (No.TTRO/1989) ORDER 2026

Falkirk Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, being satisfied that traffic on the lengths of roads specified in the Schedules to this Order should be restricted as hereinafter provided because of the likelihood of danger to the public on or near the said lengths of road, hereby make the following Order:-

Citation, commencement and cessation
(1) This Order may be cited as “The Falkirk Council (Phase 2, Various Roads) (Temporary 20mph & 40mph Speed Restriction) (No.TTRO/1989) Order 2026” and shall come into force on the 29 June 2026 for a maximum duration of 18 months.
Interpretation
(2) The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
Temporary Speed Restrictions
(3) No person shall drive or use, or permit the driving or use of, any vehicle at a speed exceeding 20mph on each of the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Order and during the period specified in Article 1.
(4) No person shall drive or use, or permit the driving or use of, any vehicle at a speed exceeding 40mph on each of the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 2 to this Order and during the period specified in Article 1.
