What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
LOCKTON AVENUE, HEANOR
WHEN: 06 July to 31 July 2026 (09:15 to 15:15 each day, only 5 days within the permit dates).
WHERE: Lockton Avenue, Heanor, Mayfield Avenue to Ilkeston Road.
REASON: To facilitate micro asphalt and associated works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Burnt House Road, Thorpes Road, Derby Road, A608, A6007 and vice versa. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
