SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC AND LANE
CLOSURE NEW BECK HILL, BRIDLINGTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along New
Beck Hill, Bridlington for the purposes of supporting
carriageway works for the multi storey scheme.
• Partial closure - the right hand lane of New Beck
Hill, Bridlington travelling from Hilderthorpe Road to
Prospect Street commencing 6 July 2026 at
08.00 hours until 13 August 2026 at 16.00 hours.
• Full closure - the entire length of New Beck Hill,
Bridlington commencing 13 August 2026 at
16.00 hours until 14 August 2026 at 07.00 hours.
The road closures are necessary to enable the works
to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within 40 days. The alternative route
for traffic affected by the road closures will be via:
Hilderthorpe Road, Springfield Avenue, Quay Road
and Prospect Street, Bridlington CP, Bridlington South
Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but access will be maintained for emergency vehicles
and pedestrians. Further information can be obtained
