Somerset - Temporary Road Closure Due To Phased Manhole Sealing Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Norton sub Hamdon Temporary Closure of Skinners Lane and Ham Hill Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Skinners Lane - from the junction with Broadmead Lane to the junction with Little Mead and Ham Hill Road - from 160 metres north-east of the junction with Skinners Lane, north-eastwards for 335 metres. A total distance of 425 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out phased manhole sealing works (as and when signed on site).
The Order becomes effective on 1st July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 8th July 2026 and last until 10th July 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 3 days.
