London To Brighton Bike Ride)

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under Section 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close the following roads to northbound traffic in the parishes of Worth, Turners Hill, West Hoathly, Ardingly, Lindfield Rural, Lindfield and Haywards Heath:

B2028 – from its junction with Mill Lane in Worth, southwards to its junction with Selsfield Road in Ardingly; Lion Lane in Turners Hill; B2112 in Haywards Heath – from the roundabout at its junction with Sydney Road, to the roundabout at its junction with Rocky Lane

In addition to the above restrictions the following lengths of road will be temporarily closed to all traffic:

B2028 in Ardingly, Lindfield Rural and Haywards Heath – from its junction with Selsfield Road in Ardingly, southwards to the roundabout at its junction with Sydney Road in Haywards Heath, Snow Hill in Worth, B2112 in Haywards Heath – from the roundabout at its junction with Rocky Lane southwards to the East Sussex County Boundary

The Order also temporary prohibits parking on the following roads: Turners Hill: Lion Lane throughout its entire length, Church Road, from Turners Hill Road eastwards to the B2028.

Ardingly: Street Lane, from College Road westwards to Oaklands, Lindfield: B2028 from Francis Road southwards to Backwoods Lane.

These restrictions are necessary to allow the London to Brighton Bike Ride 2026 to take place in safety.

The Order will be operative on 21 June 2026 from 0600 to 1800. Access for residents and businesses situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained and alternative routes will be signed on site where necessary.

(Lindfield: Lewes Road) (Roads Maintenance Programme) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close, temporarily prohibit waiting at any time and temporarily introduce a 20 mph speed limit on Lewes Road in Lindfield from High Street to Gravelye Lane.

These restrictions are needed to allow road maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to take up to three days and dates for works will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time they are carried out.

The Order will come into effect on 18 June 2026 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed programme of works is completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. Any queries about the effect of the Order on traffic using

(Turners Hill and Worth: Turners Hill Road and Adjoining

Roads) (30 MPH and 40 MPH Speed Limit) and

(Speed Limit Consolidation) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make a permanent Traffic regulation Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to extend the existing 30 MPH speed limit at the western end of Turners Hill Road in Worth to a point 475m east of its junction with Old Hollow.

The Order also introduces a 40 MPH Speed limit from the eastern end of the 30 MPH speed limit described above, eastwards to the current 30 MPH speed limit at Turners Hill. In addition to these measures the Order introduces a 30 MPH speed limit on Old Hollow from Turners Hill Road, northwards for 175m, and a 40 MPH speed limit on Wallage Lane, from Turners Hill Road north-eastwards for 60m.
