What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Tatworth and Forton Temporary Closure of Forton Lane

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Forton Lane - from 288 metres north-east of the junction with Tatworth Street, northwards for a total distance of 153 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to install a new water main.

The Order becomes effective on 1st July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 6th July 2026 and last until 31st July 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 26 days.
