What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Buckland St. Mary Temporary Closure of Dommett Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Dommett Road - from 93 metres north-east of the junction with Castlemaine, north-eastwards for a total distance of 399 metres. This Order will enable Kier to carry out verge repair works on behalf of Somerset Highways.

The Order becomes effective on 1st July 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 6th July 2026 and last until 17th July 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 12 days.
