GORCHYMYN CEFNFFORDD YR A40 (LLANDEILO I LANYMDDYFRI, SIR GAERFYRDDIN) (CYFYNGIADAU CYFLYMDER DROS DRO A DIM GODDIWEDDYD) 202-

MAE GWEINIDOGION CYMRU yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn o dan adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 ymhen dim llai na 7 niwrnod i ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn. Mae angen y Gorchymyn er mwyn gwneud gwaith ar gefnffordd yr A40, neu gerllaw iddi, rhwng Llandeilo a Llanymddyfri, Sir Gaerfyrddin.

Effaith y Gorchymyn arfaethedig fydd gwneud y canlynol dros dro:

i. gosod terfyn cyflymder o 40 mya neu 10 mya ar y darnau o gefnffordd yr A40 a ddisgrifir yn Atodlen 1 i’r Hysbysiad hwn; a

ii. gosod terfyn cyflymder o 10 mya ar y darnau o’r A40 a ddisgrifir yn Atodlen 2 i’r Hysbysiad hwn.

Disgwylir mai dim ond yn ystod gwaith confoi y bydd y terfyn cyflymder o 10 mya yn gymwys ac ni chaniateir goddiweddyd ar yr adegau hyn.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 4 Gorffennaf 2026. Disgwylir y bydd y cyfyngiadau a’r gwaharddiad dros dro yn weithredol yn ysbeidiol o 00:01 o’r gloch ar y dyddiad hwnnw am gyfnod o 18 mis ar y mwyaf.

Terfyn cyflymder 40 mya neu 10 mya dros dro a dim goddiweddyd
Y darn o’r gefnffordd sy’n ymestyn o bwynt tua 1.1 o gilometrau i’r gogledd-ddwyrain o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â’r B4302, man i’r gogledd o Landeilo hyd at bwynt 460 o fetrau i’r de-orllewin o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â’r A4069 yn Ashfield.

Y darn o’r gefnffordd sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 260 metr i’r gogledd o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â’r A4069 yn Ashfield hyd at bwynt 133 o fetrau i’r de-ddwyrain o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â’r C2157, man i’r gogledd-orllewin o Lanymddyfri.

Terfyn cyflymder 10 mya dros dro a dim goddiweddyd
Y darn o’r gefnffordd sy’n ymestyn o Gylchfan Llandeilo (gan gynnwys ei cherbytffordd gylchredol) hyd at bwynt tua 1.1 o gilometrau i’r gogledd-ddwyrain o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â’r B4302.

Y darn o’r gefnffordd sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 460 metr i’r de-orllewin o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â’r A4069 yn Ashfield hyd at bwynt 260 metr i’r gogledd o ganolbwynt y gyffordd honno.

Y darn o’r gefnffordd sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 133 o fetrau i’r de-ddwyrain o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â’r C2157 hyd at ei chyffordd â’r A483 yn Llanymddyfri

THE A40 TRUNK ROAD (LLANDEILO TO LLANDOVERY, CARMARTHENSHIRE) (TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTIONS & NO OVERTAKING) ORDER 202-

THE WELSH MINISTERS propose, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice,
to make an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is
necessary to undertake works on or near the A40 trunk road between Llandeilo and Llandovery, Carmarthenshire.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to temporarily:

i. impose a 40 mph or 10 mph speed limit on the lengths of the A40 trunk road described in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and

ii. impose a 10 mph speed limit on the lengths of the A40 trunk road described in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

The 10 mph speed limit is only expected to apply during convoy working and no overtaking will be permitted at these times.

The Order will come into force on 4 July 2026. The temporary restrictions and prohibition are expected to operate intermittently from 00:01 hours on that date for a maximum duration of 18 months.

SCHEDULE 1
Temporary 40 mph or 10 mph speed limit and no overtaking

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point approximately 1.1 kilometres northeast of the centre-point of its junction with the B4302, north of Llandeilo to a point 460 metres south-west of the centre-point of its junction with the A4069 at Ashfield.

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 260 metres north of the centrepoint of its junction with the A4069 at Ashfield to a point 133 metres south-east of the centre-point of its junction with the C2157, north-west of Llandovery

SCHEDULE 2
Temporary 10 mph speed limit and no overtaking
The length of the trunk road that extends from Llandeilo Roundabout (including its circulatory carriageway) to a point approximately 1.1 kilometres north-east of the centre-point of its junction with the B4302.

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 460 metres south-west of the centre-point of its junction with the A4069 at Ashfield to a point 260 metres north of the centre-point of that junction.

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 133 metres south-east of the centre-point of its junction with the C2157 to its junction with the A483 at Llandovery.
