Lilac Grove, Broxtowe - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving For Gas Replacement Scheme

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(LILAC GROVE, BROXTOWE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (BX26-134)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Beeston in the Borough Broxtowe.

The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
Lilac Grove, Beeston - From its junction with Humber Road South in a south westerly direction for a distance of 200 metres

2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 00:01 hours, Monday 6th July 2026
Until 23:59 hours, Friday 24th July 2026 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Meadow Road - Station Road - Queens Road - Queens Road East - Beacon Road - Humber Road South - Vice versa

The Order will come into force on 6th July 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months). 

The prohibition is required to enable Cadent Gas to carry out works a gas replacement scheme;
