London Borough of Southwark - Stoney Street, Park Street, Redcross Way - temporary prohibition of traffic

LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK 

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) (STONEY STREET, PARK STREET, REDCROSS WAY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) 

1. The Council of the London Borough of Southwark hereby gives notice that to enable bridge works, utility works and highway resurfacing by various contractors, it intends to make an order, the effect of which is to prohibit vehicular traffic from entering part of the above named roads.

2. Whilst the works are in progress, or whilst the authorised traffic signs are in place no person shall cause any vehicle to enter, proceed, stop, wait, load or unload on

(a)Stoney Street, between Winchester Walk and Park Street

(b)Park Street, between Stoney Street and Redcross Way.

(c)Redross Way, between Park Street and Southwark Street.

3. Exemptions will be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to premises, so far as it is practical without interference with the execution of the said works.

4. The restrictions will not apply to any vehicle being used in connection with the said works, or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes or anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

5. The road closures will be in place between the 28th of June to the 1st of July 2026. Works will carried out between 8pm and 6am each night, with the roads open outside of these hours.

6. A signed diversion will be in place.

7. This order remains valid for 18 months from the 28th of June 2026. Further information may be obtained by contacting Road Network Management at ttmo@southwark.gov.uk
