NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to the unsafe condition of buildings at Flemming Hall and to enable the NDA (Nuclear Commissioning Authorities) Properties Ltd to carry out subsequent demolition and reconstruction works (“the Works”), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along that section of Footpath No.409011 at Fleming Hall in the Parish of Gosforth between Grid Ref: 304984 503277 and Grid Ref: 305056 503095.
There is no suitable alternative route available for pedestrians.
This follows an emergency notice dated 1 June 2026.

The Order will come into operation on 22 June 2026 and may continue in force for a period of up to six months from that date as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed. It is anticipated that it will be required for 6 months.
