MOTHERWELL (TEMPORARY ROAD

CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

On 8 June 2026 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on drainage improvement works) on B7029 Clydesdale Road, Motherwell from the extended north east kerbline of junction with Coronation Road at No.128 Clydesdale Street to the extended north west kerbline of junction with Coronation Road at No. 20 Clydesdale Street by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Alternative routes: Vehicles on the north-west side of the closure wishing to access the south-east side of the closure should travel via B7029 Clydesdale Street, B7029 Clydesdale Road, B7029 Calder Road, A775 Main Street, A775 Holytown Road, B799 Stevenston Street then B7029 Clydesdale Street to the south-east side of the closure. Vehicles on the south-east side of the closure wishing to access the north-west side of closure should travel vice versa. Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.

The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 22 June 2026 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Sunday, 12 July 2026.
