What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING
NOTICE OF INTENT TO CREATE A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER FOR PLANNED WORKS AFFECTING: RANELAGH ROAD, SOUTHALL.
Ealing Council intends to make the following temporary traffic order under section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order for planned works – TT 5229 Ranelagh Road, Southall – 2026.
Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or near the road. These works involve JSM Construction laying new cable ducts and inspection chambers.
Effect of order
1. Waiting, loading and unloading restrictions will be applied on Ranelagh Road and these works will be carried out in 4 phases as outlined in page 2 “Schedule to this order”.
2. From 6th July 2026 to 22nd July 2026, the waiting, loading or unloading restrictions will apply at the locations specified in the Schedule to this order and will be enforced with the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice.
3. These restrictions and prohibitions will apply at the specified locations where appropriate “nowaiting cones” are placed along the length of the affected public highway.
4. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced vehicles must comply with any traffic management measures.
5. This Order does not apply to:
a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).
b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance.
Date order will come into force.
6th July 2026
Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 5th January 2028 or, on completion of the works, which is expected to be 22nd July 2026, whichever is sooner.
