(ROAD FROM PEPPERDON HALL LANE TO WRAY BARTON, MORETONHAMPSTEAD)
(NO. 2) ORDER 2026 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order.
From 20/7/26 for a maximum of 18 months.
Anticipated Finish 28/8/26.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.
Roads affected: ROAD FROM PEPPERDON HALL LANE TO WRAY BARTON, MORETONHAMPSTEAD.
The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - A382, A30, M5, A38, A382 & VICE VERSA.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: REPAIRING COLLAPSED SECTIONS OF PEPPERDON RETAINING WALL TO CONTEMPORARY STANDARDS, AS WELL AS INFILLING SCOUR DAMAGE,
REPLACING LOOSE MASONRY, REPOINTING ISOLATED AREAS, AS WELL AS ASSOCIATED VEGETATION REMOVAL.

Roads affected: SWEETBRIAR LANE, SWEETBRIAR CLOSE & HOLCOMBE ROAD, HOLCOMBE.
The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - SWEETBRIAR LANE & SWEETBRIAR CLOSE - N/A IS A CUL-DE-SAC. HOLCOMBE ROAD, HOLCOMBE VILLAGE, HOLCOMBE ROAD, TEIGNMOUTH ROAD, NEW ROAD, HIGHER WOODWAY ROAD, HOLCOMBE DOWN ROAD, ROAD FROM OAK HILL CROSS TO OAKLEIGH FARM, HOLCOMBE ROAD (VICE VERSA).
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: GAS MAINS
REPLACEMENT.
