What is happening?

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close, introduce a temporary prohibition of waiting at anytime and introduce a 20mph speed limit on The Croft. The road closure is required to protect public safety whilst the 2026 highway retexturing programme is carried out. It is expected that the affected road will be closed for upto 3 days. Temporary speed limits may be required in preparation for the works, during the works and inbetween phases of the works. The exact dates and duration of the works and the traffic management in this location will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time.

The Order will come into effect on 18 June 2026 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the works programme is completed, whichever is earlier.

During the works alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
