What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE CUMBERHILLS ROAD, QUARNDON
WHEN: 29 June to 02 August 2026
WHERE: Cumberhills Road, Quarndon, from its junction with Beech Avenue for approx. 1000m in a northeasterly direction.
REASON: To facilitate mains renewal scheme.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Cumberhills Road, Kedleston Road, Church Road, Burley Lane, Derby Road, Broadway and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
