What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: Section 14 - Temporary Closure And Suspension Of One-Way Traffic On Part Of The U6502 Palace Street, Newmarket
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6502 Palace Street, Newmarket from 63 metres northeast of All Saints Road for 30 metres northbound to facilitate repairs to water chamber cover and frame. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: All Saints Road, Vicarage Road, Old Station Road, the A1304 and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the one-way provision on the U6502 Palace Street, Newmarket to allow access and egress.
It is intended that these measures will operate from 16/06/2026 - 18/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C671 Brockley Green Road, Hundon
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C671 Brockley Green Road, Hundon from 950 metres west of Clare Road for 30 metres westbound to facilitate water stop tap replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: Clare Road, Lower Road, Valley Wash, Chimney Street, Sturmer Road, Hundon Road, Greys Lane, the A143, the B1061 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/06/2026 - 17/06/2026 from 9:30am – 3:00pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The Zu3307 Hasketon Road And The C324 Boot Street, Great Bealings
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:
- the ZU3307 Hasketon Road, Great Bealings from the junction with Boot Street for 30 metres northbound.
- the C324 Boot Street, Great Bealings from the junction with Hasketon Road for 30 metres westbound.

This is to facilitate sluice valve repair works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: Grundisburgh Road, Hasketon, Woodbridge Road, Grundisburgh, The Green, Grundisburgh, The Street, Grundisburgh, Rose Hill, Grundisburgh, Ipswich Road, Grundisburgh, Grundisburgh Road, Culpho, Ipswich Road, Culpho and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/06/2026 - 18/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The U2207 Hall Road, Stratford St Andrew
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2207 Hall Road, Stratford St Andrew from the junction with Hall Lane for 55 metres north westbound to facilitate the installation of a new electrical connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: Botany Lane, Great Glemham Road, Mill Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/06/2026 - 19/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
1. C649 Brand Road, Great Livermere

This is to facilitate the installation of fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
1. the A143 Bury Road, the A143 Ixworth, the A1088, Thetford Road, Ixworth Road, Troston Road, Honington Road, The Street, Livermere Road, Troston Road, The Street and vice versa.

2. the A143 Bury Road, the A143 Ixworth, the A1088, Thetford Road, Ixworth Road, Troston Road, Honington Road, The Street, Livermere Road, Troston Road, The Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/06/2026 - 30/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C317 Pytches Road, Woodbridge
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C317 Pytches Road, Woodbridge from the junction with Fitzgerald Road to the junction with Melton Grange Road to facilitate repairs to a brick archway. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: the B1438, the A1152, Bredfield Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/06/2026 - 19/06/2026 from 9:30am – 2:30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C673 Hundon Road, Stoke By Clare
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C673 Hundon Road, Stoke by Clare from 150 metres north of Canhams Farm for 100 metres northbound to facilitate the replacement of a telegraph pole. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: the A1092, the B1063, Chilton Street, Maple Hill and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 25/06/2026 - 26/06/2026 from 9:00am – 5:pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C340 Rectory Road, Hollesley from 250 metres northwest of the junction with Colony Road for 25 metres northbound to facilitate cover and frame works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be School Lane, Fox Hill, The Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 25/06/2026 - 27/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
