What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

HALSTEAD ROAD, MOUTNSORREL
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME ORDER 2026

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 13/07/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 days to allow Jelson Ltd & their approved contractors to undertake carriageway planning & resurfacing works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 13/07/2026 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 6 weeks to allow C3 Construction Ltd to undertake S278 carriageway improvement works in connection with the new Miller Homes development. The proposed diversion route will be via: Epinal Wy, Forest Rd, Valley Rd & Belvoir Dr.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PARKING BAYS
Lansdown Dr all parking bays between Park Rd & the Animal Super Store, Ling Rd Service Rd all parking bays between Ling Rd & Park Rd – Loughborough.

THE LANT, SHEPSHED
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 13/07/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 days to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake meter renewal works. The proposed diversion route will be via: The Lant, Forest St, Bull Ring, The Lant & vice versa.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 day to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake replacement of a manhole frame & cover. The proposed diversion route will be via: Woodthorpe Rd, Shelthorpe Rd, Park Rd, Ling Rd, R/bout At The Jct Of Epinal Wy Park Rd And Ling Rd, Park Rd & Shelthorpe Rd.

The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

The Order will come into force on 01/07/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 week to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake works to replace a manhole cover & frame. The proposed diversion route will be via: Kirkhill & Forest St.
