Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Little Warley Hall Lane, West Horndon in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 375m north west of the junction with St Marys Lane for a distance of approximately 150m in a north westerly direction. 

The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th July 2026 for 11 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC410LO00000500351160205 – Openreach). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Little Warley Hall Lane, Warley Hall Lane, St Mary’s Lane, Childerditch Lane, A127, Little Warley Hall Lane (Southbound) or Little Warley Hall Lane, A127, B186, St Marys Lane, Warley Hall Lane and Little Warley Hall Lane (Northbound).

(Nags Head Lane, South Weald) 
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Brook Street, Brentwood) (Temporary Introduction of No Right Turn) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Nags Head Lane, South Weald in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Brook Street for a distance of approximately 145m in a south westerly direction.

2. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Right Turn’ restriction from Brook Street into Nags Head Lane, Brentwood for the duration of the above closure only.

The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 6th July 2026 for 14 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP003S50-2411/EP003S50-2411BS – Crest Nicholson). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water drainage installation works are undertaken by Crest Nicholson.

An alternative route is available via Brook Street, Mascalls Lane, Warley Road and vice versa (with access only into Nags Head Lane).

The Order will come into effect on 24th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Ongar Road, Kelvedon Hatch) 
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ongar Road, Kelvedon Hatch in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Church Road to its junction with School Road a distance of approximately 125m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th July 2026 for 1 night (19:00-04:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP10000016917 – Essex County Council). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bollard replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via A128, A1023, A12, A414, A128 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 24th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Ongar Road, Stondon Massey) 
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Ongar Road, Stondon Massey in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Chivers Road to its junction with Nine Ashes Road a distance of approximately 715m.

2. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction in the above length of road for the duration of the above closure only.

“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time” restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 13th July 2026 for 26 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2407938 – Essex County Council. 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 

The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while culvert repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Ongar Road, Tipps Cross Lane, Hook End Lane, Hook End Road, Blackmore Road, Ongar Road, Brentwood Road, Stondon Road, Ongar Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 24th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Rectory Lane, Herongate) 
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rectory Lane, Herongate in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Brentwood Road to its junction with Billericay Road a distance of approximately 85m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th July 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2403276 – Essex County Council). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Swallows Cross Road/Thoby Lane, Mountnessing in the Borough of Brentwood, from the junction with Wyatts Green Road to the junction with Roman Road a distance of approximately 2260m. 

The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th July 2026 for 3 nights (19:30-23:30), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2406405 – Essex County Council). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Limes, Brentwood in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Lime Avenue to its junction with Beech Avenue a distance of approximately 85m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th July 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGMGJV6J – Openreach Ltd). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach Ltd.

The Order will come into effect on 24th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, Borough of Brentwood) 
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.5) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Brentwood as specified in the schedule.

2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on those lengths of road as specified in the schedule. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.

“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. 

All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 24th June 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. 

Access will be maintained for emergency services. Residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Blackmore Road, Blackmore in the Borough of Brentwood from a point approximately 75m south west of its junction with Meadow Rise for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction.
