What is happening?
BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL
The Council intends The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Footpath No’s. 8/1 & 17/1, Parish of Mentmore) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at the junction of MEN/FP/8/1 & Garden House for the entire length and MEN/FP/17/1. Alternative route is a track around the clubhouse within Mentmore Park. The closure is required to enable ash dieback and mixed broadleaves thinning. The Order will come into operation on 24 June 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
