NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER (OTHER THAN AN ACQUISITION EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER)

SECTION 26 OF THE HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

(SHIPDHAM FOOTPATH NO. 19a) CREATION

ORDER 2023

On 30th March 2026 the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above Order made under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order, as confirmed is to create a public footpath starting from the U31172, Parklands Avenue at grid reference TF9566 0706 and runs in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 36.4 metres to grid reference TF9569 0705 and continues in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 11.4 metres to grid reference TF9569 0705 and continues in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 3.8 metres to grid reference TF9569 0703, as shown on the Order map.

The route’s width is as follows;

Between grid reference TF9566 0706 and grid reference TF9569 0705 – 1.6 metres

Between grid reference TF9569 0705 and grid reference TF9569 0705 – varies between 1.5 and 1.6 metres

Between grid reference TF9569 0705 and grid reference TF9569 0703 – varies between 1.4 and 1.6 metres.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, and at the offices of Breckland District Council, Elizabeth House, Walpole Loke, Dereham, Norfolk, NR19 1EE during normal office hours or purchased at a cost of £5.00 from the undersigned or available electronically free of charge from legalordersandregisters@norfolk.gov.uk.

The Order comes into force 42 days from the date of confirmation of the Order, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, make an application for that purpose to the High Court not later than 27th July 2026.
