What is happening?

                                HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:                                                                  ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
 TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC HIGH WYCH 012  NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horseriders, cyclists and vehicles from using that length of Byway Open to All Traffic High Wych 012, from junction with Fryars Lane
to junction with BOAT 47, for an approximate distance of 360m.
Alternative route: pedestrians, cyclists and horseriders on provided alternate route, vehicles, no suitable alternative on PROW network
The purpose of the Order is to enable maintenance works to take place.

Nicholas Maddex tel. 01992 555243 Hertfordshire County Council.                          _________________________________________________________________________               (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PIG LANE, BISHOPS STORTFORD) ORDER 2026   NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Pig Lane, Bishops Stortford from its junction with B1383 London Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 365m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via B1383 London Road, A1060 Hallingbury Road and Pig Lane. The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 1 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months.
The works are scheduled to take 6 weeks to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

between No.21 Calverley Close and No.22 Gerard Way, Bishops Stortford from its junction with Bishops
Stortford Public Footpath No.025 south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Villiers Sur
Marne Avenue, a distance of approximately 280m (“the Footpath”).
An alternative route will be via Bishops Stortford Public Footpath No.025 and the footway situated on the south side of Villiers Sur Marne Avenue.
The Order is needed because gas main works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
The Order will come into effect from 15 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months.
The works are scheduled to take 28 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the westbound carriageway of Scott Road, Bishops Stortford from its junction with the Apton Road/Jervis Road
roundabout south westwards to its junction with Cemetery Road, a distance of approximately 35m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Apton Road, B1529 (Potter Street/Market Street/North Street), A1250
(Hadham Road/Link Road/The Causeway), A1059 (Dane Street/Station Road), B1529 South Street,
Havers Lane and Cemetery Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 15 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months.
The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road. The Carpenters, Bishops Stortford from its junction with Stockmen Field south westwards to its junction with Furriers Close, a distance of approximately 65m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Stockmen Field, Drovers Way, Falconer Street and The Carpenters.
The Order is needed because remedial works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 12 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months.
The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
