(Prohibition of Entry) Order 2026
On 16 June 2026 Surrey County Council made the above named Traffic Order under Sections 1(1) and 2(1) to (3) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), which will come into force on 19 June 2026, the effect of which will be to prohibit all vehicles proceeding in D3759 Station Approach, West Byfleet from entering D3759 Madeira Road, at the western junction of the said roads. The prohibitions will not apply in relation to (a) a vehicle being used for ambulance fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency; (b) anything done upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform; (c) any person who causes any vehicle to proceed in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed pursuant to Section 66 or 67 of the Act. A copy of this Notice together with plans showing the lengths of road to which the Order relates, a Statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order and a copy of the made Order, may be viewed during normal opening hours at:- 1. Woking Library, Gloucester Walk, Woking GU21 6EP; 2. Reception, Surrey County Council, Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 7BQ. If you wish to object to the Order, or any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks of from the date of the making of the Order, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
