(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
MILLBANK, HEIGHINGTON
Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:
MILLBANK
From its junction with Darlington Road southwards to the north side of Hopelands junction
An alternative route will be signed via Water Lane, Darlington Road and vice versa.
The Order is necessary to allow works by Northern Gas Networks to replace a gas main.
The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing from 30th July 2026, it is anticipated that it will be effective for 4 weeks.
