THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (WOODSTOCK AVENUE AND THORN GROVE, CHEADLE HULME) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF WAITING) (SUSPENSION OF RESTRICTED WAITING) NOTICE 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which Suspended No Waiting 08.30am to 9.00am and 03.15pm to 4.30pm Monday to Friday from no.15 to no.35 Woodstock Avenue, and introduced Temporary No Waiting 08.30am to 16:30pm Monday to Friday at Woodstock Avenue, Cheadle Hulme, from the junction with Thorn Grove adjacent to the southern footway, extending in a westerly direction for its full length, continuing around the turning head, terminating outside property no.40. Thorn Grove, Cheadle Hulme, from outside property no.11 extending in a southerly direction, for approximately 25 metres, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said roads.
This Order is necessary to facilitate reconstruction works to a school. It is estimated these works will last 18 months. No diversion will be provided. This Notice does not apply to any vehicle on any occasion when it is being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes.
This Order came into operation on 15 June 2026 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Ref: JO/16094708/12 Dated: 17 June 2026
