What is happening?

THE CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON

(JERSEY CLOSE) (ROAD CLOSURE) (482/56) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council made the above Order on 8th June 2026.

1. The effect of the Order will be to close Jersey Close from 50m east of its junction with Boniface Crescent to 90m east of its junction with Boniface Crescent.

2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are for an electrical upgrade.

3. There is no alternative route.

4. The Order will come into force on 18th June 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 2nd July 2026.
