LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PEDDER STREET, MORECAMBE, LANCASTER CITY) (REVOCATION, GOODS VEHICLE LOADING AND LIMITED WAITING) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 5th June 2026 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 92 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the "Lancashire County Council (Lancaster City Area) (On Street Parking Places, Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Consolidation Order 2009" insofar as it relates to Item (12)(ii) of Schedule 12.066.
2. Introduce a goods vehicle loading bay in Pedder Street, Morecambe, the north east side, from a point 40.5 metres east of its junction with the centreline of Nelson Street for a distance of 12 metres in an easterly direction.
3. Introduce a limited waiting parking place for 1 hour with no return within 1 hour, Monday to Saturday 8am – 6pm in the following lengths of road:
a) Pedder Street, Morecambe, the north side, from a point 5 metres east of its junction with the centreline of Nelson Street for a distance of 35.5 metres in an easterly direction;
b) Pedder Street, Morecambe, the north east side, from a point 10.5 metres south east of its junction with the centreline of Marine Road Central for a distance of 26.5 metres in a south easterly direction;
c) Pedder Street, Morecambe, the north west side, from a point 2 metres east of its junction with the centreline of Back Crescent Street for a distance of 23 metres in an easterly direction.
This Order will come into force on the 19th June 2026. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Lancaster City Council, Town Hall, Dalton Square, Lancaster, LA1 1PJ, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
