NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Closure of Footpath 62 Marple, for 600 metres between the entrance to Dale Farm and the Connect2 bridge at Chadkirk, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said footpath.

A diversion will be provided via; Footpath 62 Marple southwards until it meets Footpath 64 Marple, generally eastwards until it meets Marple Hall Drive and continuing south eastwards to Mandalay Gardens, continuing to Flagg Wood Avenue then north eastwards to Walton Drive, continuing south eastwards to Marsland Road and then north before turning eastwards to meet Kingsbridge Close continuing to Dale Lane.
This Order is to come into operation on 8 July 2026 and will have effect for six months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
