Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
Brands Hatch Road, Fawkham, DA3 8NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brands Hatch Road, Fawkham, on or after 24th June 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Sun Hill.
The alternative route is via Fawkham Road, A20 London Road, Ash Lane, South Ash Road, The Street, Ash Road, Chapel Wood Road, Ash Road, Hartley Road, B260 Main Road, Fawkham Road, Valley Road and vice versa.
Eglantine Lane, Farningham, DA4 0BY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Eglantine Lane, Farningham, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between A20 Gorse Hill and the substation.
The alternative route is via Rays Hill, The Street, Horton Road, Station Road, A225 Dartford Road, A20 London Road, Eglantine Lane and vice versa.
Harrow Road, Knockholt, TN14 7JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Thames Water Utilities works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Harrow Road, Knockholt, on or after 12th July 2026 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Main Road.
The alternative route is via Harrow Road, Main Road and vice versa.
Idleigh Court Road, Meopham, DA13 0JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of approx 135m of HV cable to be laid, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Idleigh Court Road, Meopham, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Larksfield and Idleigh Court.
The alternative route Hartley Bottom Road, Ridley Hill, Rectory Road, New Street Road, Chapmans Hill, A227 Wrotham Road, Shipley Hills Road, Idleigh Court Road and vice versa.
Mussenden Lane, Horton Kirby, DA3 8HF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mussenden Lane, Horton Kirby, on or after 23rd June 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Three Gates Road.
The alternative route is via Three Gates Road, Scratchers Lane, A20 Gorse Hill, Eglantine Lane, Mussenden Lane and vice versa.
Northview, Swanley, BR8 7BG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Thames Water Utilities works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Northview, Swanley, on or after 23rd June 2026 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 96.
The alternative route is via Sycamore Drive, B2173 Bartholomew Way/Maidstone Road, Hilda May Avenue, Northview and vice versa.
Parkgate Road, Orpington, BR6 7PY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Parkgate Road, Orpington, on or after 23rd June 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 3 Parkgate Cottages.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
Station Road, Halstead, TN14 7DD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Thames Water Utilities works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Station Road, Halstead, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 14.
The alternative route is via Shoreham Lane, Clarks Lane and vice versa.
Tinkerpot Lane, West Kingsdown, TN15 6AA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tinkerpot Lane, West Kingsdown, on or after 6th July 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Woodlands Cottages.
The alternative route is via Tinkerpot Lane, School Lane, A20 London Road, Botsom Lane, Maplescombe Lane, Beesfield Lane, A225 Eynsford Road, A225 High Street, Bower Lane, Goodbury Road and vice versa.
Various Roads, DUNTON GREEN, Sevenoaks (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of gas works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Various Roads, Dunton Green, Sevenoaks, as per the schedule below.
