What is happening?

Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

PUBLIC FOOTWAY AND CYCLEWAY MACBETH APPROACH, WARWICK

Order Effect: Footpath closed to all traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable replacement of underground pressure reduction.

Order Commences: 15 June 2026 for up to 6 months.

Anticipated Completion: 17 July 2026.

Access & Diversion: Cyclists should dismount.

ST NICHOLAS ROAD, RADFORD SEMELE

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable installation of boundary box and blockage clearance works.

Order Commences: 16 June 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 17 June 2026.

Access & Diversion: Will be appropriately signed.

Contractor: Chevron TM Ltd, Tel: 0330 008 0820.

D7097 MOSELEY ROAD, KENILWORTH

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from Birches Lane to Thornby Avenue.

Reason for Order: Footway reconstruction and associated works, 08.00hrs-17.00hrs weekdays.

Order Commences: 15 June 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 17 July 2026.

Access & Diversion: Birches Lane, Windy Arbour, Thornby Avenue and vice versa. Access/Egress to/from Worcester Road may be restricted whilst works are in progress. There will be no access/egress to/from Arden Road via Moseley Road whilst works are in progress.

OVAL ROAD, RUGBY

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Kerb replacement and remedial carriageway works.

Order Commences: 15 June 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 16 June 2026.

Access & Diversion: Lakin Road, Coventry Road, Guys Cross park Road and vice versa.

Contractor: Network Plus, Tel: 0161 351 5370.

PUBLIC FOOTPATH W105 IN THE PARISH OF BISHOPS TACHBROOK

Order Effect: Footpath closed to ALL traffic between grid references SP29950-62428 to SP29466-62920.

Reason for Order: Because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath.

Order Commenced: 30 May 2022 for 6 months, subsequently extended and was due to expire 1 June 2026. However, the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has directed that the Order shall continue in force until 1 December 2026, or until works are completed, whichever is the earlier (unless the Secretary of State issues a further direction).

Access & Diversion: There is no alternative route available.

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable duct laying works.

Order Commences: 29 June 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 1 July 2026.

Access & Diversion: No diversion available.

CROSS STREET, LEAMINGTON SPA

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Works to rectify defect from previous work.

Order Commences: 29 June 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 30 June 2026.

Access & Diversion: Cross Street, Willes Road, Clarendon Street and vice versa.

Contractor: Pegasus Ltd, Tel: 07853 147109.

STATION ROAD, SHREWLEY

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable cable testing works.

Order Commences: 30 June 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 30 June 2026.

Access & Diversion: Hockley Road, Dark Lane, Pinley Road, Station Road and vice versa.

Contractor: Sunbelt Rentals, Tel: 03700 500792.

SHAWS LANE, HASELEY

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable renewal of a water hydrant.

Order Commences: 30 June 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 2 July 2026.

Access & Diversion: Birmingham Road, Five Ways Road and vice versa.

Contractor: Chevron TM Ltd, Tel: 0330 008 0820.

TITHE BARN CLOSE, BUDBROOKE

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable works as part of the water mains renewal scheme.

Order Commences: 29 June 2026 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 20 July 2026.

Access & Diversion: No diversion available.

Contractor: Severn Trent Water, Tel: 0800 783 4444.

PUBLIC CYCLEWAY EMSCOTE ROAD, WARWICK

Order Effect: Cycleway closed to all traffic on both sides of Emscote Road between Westbury Close and Ilex Court.

Reason for Order: To enable works to repair/replace a defective manhole cover.

Order Commences: 1 July 2026 for up to 6 months.

Anticipated Completion: 1 July 2026.

Access & Diversion: Cyclists should dismount.

Contractor: CSP, Tel: 07918 298599.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
